NIKON D40X ON EBAY- is this worth it for £189 body only? - 1

It says great condition but no lense. Is this worth it?

Without knowing the other conditions of the auction I'll say probably not. Would rather buy one from a reputable dealer with a 90 day warranty.

I'd say it isn't. A 18-55 lens will add another 50 or 60 quid to that price. That gets awfully close to the aging but already way more advanced D3000.http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002J9GIAQ

Probably the right kind of price if you have a lens for it. If you are buying a lens too, then consider a D40 complete (the d40 is slightly better specified than the d40x, the apparent megapixel difference is not that noticeable - honest) As another answerer reminds you beware of buying used on ebay.
