NIKON D3200 BATTERY COVER PROBLEM?
Hi, I've had my d3200 for a few months now. And when i tried to open the battery cover just now, it became a bit loose. It used to spring towards the battery compartment, but now it doesn't.
Cycle to door open and closed a few times. It'll either get better or worse. If it gets worse, you will need to consider sending it in to Nikon for repairs or using duct tape to keep it closed.
IF your camera is still under warranty - have Nikon replace the door.
If the camera is out of warranty, you can either spend hundreds of dollars for Nikon to fix it, or just buy a new door on eBay.

Some eBay vendors sell genuine Nikon replacement parts. I have purchased minor replacement parts for my D90 (replacement vinyl thumb grip) from this seller:

I'm not affiliated with this seller, other than a past customer.
I don't believe Nikon USA will sell replacement parts to independent repair shops, so they probably direct-import the parts; which does not matter to me as long as they are genuine Nikon parts.
The Nikon DSLR cameras I've dealt with, the battery cover didn't have any springs. The hinge has always moved freely. You may have been thinking of the memory cover which springs open.
