Camera Lens - I need a new one and i could use some

iThink
iThink

So i have the Nikon D80 and i have the standard 18-55 and i also have a tamron 70-300 lens
i'm looking for an all around lens something i could walk around with the whole day
And something that works well in every kind of situation for every kind of photo (wide, telephoto,… )

I know about the tamron 18 - 270 and it has been recommend to me but its a little bit expensive
is there something similar for a little less?
Also if anybody knows where i can get PS CS4 for a good price please leave link =]

What is wrong with the 18-55? That should be fine…

but if you MUST have another, there are a few 18-250 lenses out there…

the sigma one is highly regarded… But you'll find most nikon users are only interested in nikon lenses without thinking about tamron or sigma…

take a look on www.dpreview.com for lenses…

I'd say learn to work with a 18-105. That's still acceptable quality for a decent price.

Anyway… Sigma's 18-200 OS

If you are looking for an all purpose lens, say the 18-270mm, you have to remember that it isn't GREAT at anything, it is just an average wide angle, average portrait and average telephoto lens. It dosnt do anything really well.
If you still want to go down the route of having just one lens, then try the sigma range, possibly this one, it isn't quite as wide angle as you might like, http://www.sigmaphoto.com/...acro-sigma" class='ext_link'>http://www.sigmaphoto.com/...acro-sigma but it is a macro lens as well.
Or these ones: http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/28-300mm-f35-63-dg-macro-sigma
You havnt told us what your budget is so I do not know if these are too expensive.
Hope that helpes!

I don't really buy into the one lens for all photos thing. (If I did I could sell 85% of my kit!). For a walk-about lens I'm really partial to the Nikkor AF-s 35/1.8 or the AF Nikkor 28/2.8.
