Need Lens Recommendation for Nikon D3100?

I'm going to be purchasing that Nikon D3100.
I need to know which additional lenses I should purchase.
Most of my photos will be of my children and nature and landscape shots.
I'm not looking to spend hundreds on one lens, as I'm on a budget.
But, I would like some recommendations please!

The lens that comes with the D3100 is fine for all of the things you mentioned. If you want to get a nice landscape lens, you can look at the 35mm f/1.8, and for even a wider angle, the tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens.

Lenses are expensive. If you buy cheap lenses, they will be cheap quality. A really decent lens might be in the thousands of dollars, definitely more than the camera itself.
