I need a microphone recommendation?

I'm looking for a microphone that is a good balance for use with my DSLR (Nikon D7200) as well as with my computer for vocal audio recording. I would like to spend less than $200, but am open to suggestions. TIA!

You won't get good results without external hardware. Typically you would add a mic pre-amp to the dslr that could also be used on the pc. If you want CLEAN audio you need to use a pre-amp(external to any noisy pc psu) . The pre-amp you select should support pro-mics that use XLR connections(which need a power source usually a battery or for a pc you may use a more appropriate pre-amp with built in psu). You have to make the choice if you want to be mobile with the camera you need a pre-amp with battery option, or just static (near a power socket) so you just need a desktop unit.
look at all the links below to get the idea. The MIC is only HALF of the kit, the pre-amp is what you need too.

You might consider a simple digital audio recorder instead of a mic. The Zoom H1 can attach to the camera or can be used all by itself. It has great built in stereo mics too.

The two applications need totally different microphones.

The camera uses a 3.5mm microphone which can be stereo.

For good quality voice to a computer, the last thing you should be using is a 3.5mm connection. Also, unless you use an external preamp and a line in, you need a mono mic to connect to the pc mic input.

I'd get a reasonable but not high cost shotgun type for the camera and a totally separate decent type vocal mic to use with a computer.

Depending on the background noise level where you are doing the vocal recordings, either a Shure SM-58 hand mic (for noisy conditions) or an MXL V67g condenser mic for quiet conditions (plus a cradle and stand for that).

Either mic costs about $100 new on ebay.

You need a decent USB Audio MIDI Interface for best results with either of those in to a computer.
Look for a secondhand Focusrite Scarlett, eg. Either a 2i2 or 2i4.
The Roland Edirol UA22 interface or a Tascam US-2x2 would also be suitable.
