Looking for a camra for under 100$?
I'm looking for a camera for my 13 year old sister. She likes to take pics of her friends, pets and whatever else 13 year old girls like… She keeps taking my nikon d90 but she really doesn't need something big or expensive. Just something for facebook photos. I would like it to be around 60 - 100$ but i can spend a little more if i have too.
It just needs to be decent and have a zoom.
Given your sister's age you're making a wise choice. A dslr camera, like the d90, is way to complicated and over kill for a 13-year old.
I would caution you only that anything of that price will be very poor quality. By that I mean it'll take pictures but it won't last more than a year or so. Cameras at this price point are designed like cell phones… When, not if, they break you trash and replace.
So if that's what you're after there are tons of these cheap throw aways out there. Pick one though from one of the major camera makers… Canon or Nikon and you'll have the best luck.It'll still be very cheap and won't last but it shouldn't quit before the 1-year warranty is up.
Try a hello kitty camera, or search for ones at Toys R Us. I found this one with a zoom seems simple and perfect for a teen!
I would go for the cheapest Canon or Panasonic I could find.
