Light Writing with a Nikon D5000?
I want to Light write with my Nikon D5000, but I'm not sure how to.
Is it even possible on my specific camera?
Can someone please help me by giving me the instructions to set my camera settings to light write?
It would be very helpful for my English project.
It is possible for all cameras capable of long exposure. This implies night photography so you will need a tripod/anything steady to put camera on. Set camera to long exposure, > 5s, During the exposure, you use a bright light source to write/draw in front of the frame, preferably within the focus plane. If your body is in the frame, make sure you wear dark clothing and move around so that your body will not be in the picture.
There's no exact instructions, you just have to try and find out. Have fun
You obviously need a dark background and a light source. Set the camera to long exposure, this keeps the mirror flipped up for longer and an image is taken over a longer period of time. This means it is essential you have a tripod, otherwise motion will ruin the shot.
