Is there a Nikon equivalent lens to this Canon lens?
This is a Canon lens: Sigma 70-300 F4-5, 6 DG APO Macro
Is there a lens that is that is equivalent or really close to it for a Nikon D3000 camera?
Nikkor 70-300mm VR (FX)
I would also recommend something like a Tamron (FX) 28-300mm VC as well. Both lenses are around $600 and the image quality is unbeatable compared to any DX lens.
FX=full 35mm sensor/film frame lens.
DX=2/3 24mm sensor frame lens.
Sigma makes the same lens made for Nikon's
Actually there's no way a generic lens like Sigma can duplicate the patented and proprietary design of either Canon or Nikon lenses.
The Nikon AF-S 70-300 mm lens is an exceptional one. Look at it as an alternative to the Sigma
