Is the entry level lens for the Nikon D3300 better than the D3200?
I read too much. I thought I read somewhere, maybe on here, that the D3300 lens was a better lens than the D3200 lens. (18-55mm)
The D3300 has a new lens, which is a collapsible type lens, similar to the Nikon1 lenses. It uses VR II, but otherwise I'm not sure how it yet compares to the old lens. I'm sure DxOMark and others will soon test it.
It's a bit more expensive ($250 vs. $200 for the old one) but that does not mean much.
It has the same specs so it should perform the same.
What it does is provide a smaller footprint, about 30% shorter according to Nikon.
