The best lens with the best quality and image stabilizers? Thank you

Added (1). For what purpose?: Taking good clear images from afar (like a cityskyline), up close, etc. I don't know I'm just looking for good quality and stable images. Budget: 100 - 500 $

For what purpose?

what is your budget?

the best lenses are prime lenses, especially Nikon's ED lenses. VR denotes image stabilization.

I'm with the good Dr.here. What are the best tools for my toolbox?

Depends on your needs and price range. Give us more information and we can give better help.

In my opinion, the best lenses are primes so for whatever purpose you want to use a lens for, get a single focal length lens for it.

The best lenses are the most expensive ones.

For instance, the Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 VR2 is a whole lot better than the Nikon AF-S 55-200mm f/4.5~5.6 VR in terms of image quality, low light performance, and VR stability.

The cost?

Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 VR2 $2, 400

Nikon AF-S 55-200mm f/4.5~5.6 VR $250

The question then is, would a $2, 400 lens fit into your budget?
