If you can only keep one lens for your D?

Any nikon D model… If you have to "live or die" keep only one lens on your camera which one would it be for your daily use! I have D7000 and my favorite lens is Nikkor 70-200 mm, but i'm not too sure if that would be my "live or die" choice… Just wanted to see what others think!

I don't have a Nikon but for my Pentax K-x, I would keep my 50mm f/1.4 manual film lens.

It would be either the 18-200 mm or 28-300 mm

Hmm.24-70 for dially use. I'd gladly have a 200-400 for nature and wildlife.

My 10-20mm Sigma. I shoot with my wideangle in landscapes 90%

Okay, I don't have a Nikon…
My Favorite lens is my 28-75mm f/2.8 (closely followed by the 50-135 f/2.8), it's the best lens for what I do most of the time. But if I could only keep one, it would have to be the 18-270mm - with all it's compromises it's still a great all-rounder.

18-105mm as it is the only one I have: D
Well, I also have an old 50mm with an adapter ring, but I do not have an adapter ring with optical correction ( 45€ ), so it only focuses 25cm-1, 5m. Even if it focused, I would probably take the Nikon zoom, as it is more universal and also has auto-focus, which comes handy sometimes.

24-70mm all day!

Probably the 18-200.

Canon shooter here… WOW, tough question. Snap decision would be my 70-200 f/2, 8L.

Sigma 150/2, 8
