I need advice on photography?

Check out a picture I took and uploaded to Flickr: I need advice on photography

I can't seem to get many views or comments. Is it because I take bad pictures? Do you guys have any advice on photography? (I have a Nikon D3100.)

Take into account that millions of photographs are uploaded onto flickr each day, so it would take a while for people to discover your work and start giving you feedback with comments or views. I wouldn't say that you're a bad picture taker, but based by this photograph, nothing screams 'Original' or 'Interesting' to me.

Nothing personal, but I didn't really see anything interesting in your photographs. They seemed more like "typical snapshots" that you took while practicing with your camera. Out of your photos, I would say that "Ornaments on a Treetop" is your best, but think it would have been better if it was shot portrait instead of landscape.

The best advice would be to take some photography courses and join up with a local camera/photography club.

They were only uploaded an hour ago, you already have 1 favourite, give it time.

There are millions of very pedestrian and boring shots on Flickr with more being added at the rate of a couple of thousand a minute.

yours I'm afraid come in that category of uninteresting or boring and not particularly good.

if you want views and comments then join some of the many groups on there and better yet, take pictures which people will want to comment on.

It's not a bad picture. It's just not very exciting, and lacking in popular appeal. There are about 48 gazillion photographs uploaded to flickr every second, or something like that, and of these:
95% are rubbish
4.5% are OK shots, but not particularly interesting
0.5% are worth looking at.
You've made it into the top 5%. Not bad.
