I have a Nikon D5000 DSLR, I need a lense suggestion for coachella?

I'm going to coachella this year and i don't plan on being up close to the stage. So I need a suggestion on what lense to buy for this festival. Hopefully it won't break my budget. I'm open to all suggestions.

Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 VR II

you will need lots of light and some tele range to get them big enough on the picture if you can't get close. This is the way to go.
