Need Nikon D5100 tips/suggestion?

Recently I bought a nikon d5100. This is my first dslr camera. I have some basic idea's but i want some good suggestion and tips for my photography and for my camra.

If you can't get into a local photography class, which I recommend, there are many, many online tutorials, e.g.,
http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/...orials.htm
http://www.geofflawrence.com/photography_tutorials.htm
http://digital-photography-school.com/
http://creativelive.com/courses/
-I recommend the "Fundamentals of Digital Photography" or

There are many free photography tutorials online. There are also good books and magazines available that will help you learn, and inspire you to take good photographs.

Thoughts:
1. Read the manual.
2. Study photography.
3. Practice a lot.
4. Never ditch the kit lens.
5. It's not the camera. It's you. It's always about you. The camera is only a tool.
