How to take out the battery on a Nikon D3100?
How do I take out the battery on the Nikon D3100?
Simply press down on the battery and when it comes up a bit just pull it out. I know it doesn't seem like your supposed to pull it out because it kinda feels like your forcing it but your not. Thats just how it comes out.
hope this helped.

Although it is not stated, after opening the battery door, you need to push the gray or red lever outward and hold the camera upright for the battery to fall out of the battery chamber.
Open the battery door on the bottom of the camera, the remove the battery by depressing the hold-down tab.
It's not that hard.
