How to setting nikon d90 camera for modeling photography?
We have D90 nikon suggest of speed and f/speed and iso
Set it to f8 and 1/500th sec at ISO 500.
Then adjust the light to match it.
You now have a fully adjustable camera and that will require you to learn all about how to control it. Remember there are NO settings that are right under any given lighting situation.
Low-light = fast lens and high ISO's
Hand held shots = shutter speeds over 1/500th second
Shooting models has much more to do with the lighting you use than the specific camera settings you pick
Nice choice of camera by the way
Sadly ther is no setting or preset that does a perfect job as lighting conditions are far and wide. That is actually why pro's use it so they can manually control every aspect of the exposure instead of having the camera make the settings for them. Also you can't set the f-stop on the d90 because the f-stop isn't in the camera but in the lens. You can only control the f-stop through the D90's sub command dial.
Set your camera to A mode for now (it works great) and read up on how to control each setting manually. A mode is aperture priority mode and will allow you to set your f-stop and ISO but not your SS (as the camera does it for you). Apeture should be at its widest f/3.5 F/4 etc and an Iso of 200
First, you will have to describe exactly the shot you wish to take
the settings can be completely different for the next shot, and the next, and the next.
