How to set up a stroboframe?

I have a nikon d60
nikon sb-600 flash
and a stroboframe
the stroboframe came with a flash cable but i can't get te flash to work, what am i doing wrong?

Is the flash cable a PC sync cord? If so, it won't fit the SB600 as it doesn't have a PC socket. Does your D60 have a PC socket? You can get round this by buying a hotshoe to PC adapter (for the camera) and there's a similar adapter for the flash foot to add a PC socket.

The SB600 will need to be in manual mode (not remote, which only works with the Nikon wireless system, which the D60 doesn't have).

Alternatively, get a set of RF602 radio triggers (£25) which will fire the flash off camera (in manual mode) wirelessly.
