How to set the continuous shooting (nikon d5000)?

It's just taking 4 pictures then… How to make it take more pictures
i hold the shutter bottom but it's just take 4 pictures on row
btw the manual is lost

It's called "burst" by the way.
If it's stopping at 4 photos that usually means your memory card is too slow. Upgrade to at least a class 6 or class 10 - the fastest available at the moment.
Also have you properly formatted your card in the camera? If not do that now.

Can be any of a number of things. A slow card, a card that has not been formatted in ages. Options like d-lighting that are enabled, the fact that you're shooting RAW+jpg.
