How to LENS WHACK WITH NIKON D3200?
I've discovered a cool effect you can do with you camera called lens whacking and it allows light in and gives it a pretty effect but you need your lens detached and held in front of the camera to do so but I have a Nikon D3200 camera and i'm unable to take photos / videos with the lens detached so my question is are there any settings that i need to change on the camera to allow me to try this out?
Abusing a camera and lens like the one you have is sort of silly.
Most digital SLR cameras have a feature in the menu that you use when setting up an lens that has no CPU in it. Page 169 discusses the type non-CPU lenses your camera can use and the limitations when using such a lens.
Although your current lens is an AF-S lens with a CPU, once you decouple it, it is essentially a non-CPU lens
