How much would a Nikon D7000 cost?
How much would one cost, and is it a good camera?
The 7000 is a great entry-level camera, but just buy a Rebel T4i D3100 or 3200 instead. Go to a local camera shop and try them all out. Prices can be found on Canon and Nikon's websites.
Regardless of what camera you buy, you'll need a genuine spare battery, 2 or 3 8GB Class 10 SD cards, a card reader and a case.
Here is a link to the Nikon digital SLR cameras. Their costs are listed on the site.

NOTE: "entry level" cameras are by definition cameras costing less than $1, 000.
The build quality of the D7000 puts it into the "semi-pro" category.
And yes, it is an exceptional camera, one that may pros use as a backup camera
