How to know if a lens will fit my D60?
I just am still getting used to having a DSLR. I have a Nikon D60 and currently have this lens. See link below. Someone I know has a Micro lens they are willing to give to me and told me to check the measurements to see if it will fit. How do I find that out?
This is the current lens I have.

I also checked out my Nikon specs and it says this when it comes to lenses… What does this mean?
Compatible Lenses AF-NIKKOR for F3AF not supported
AF-S, AF-I: All functions supported
IX Nikkor lenses can't be used
Type G or D AF NIKKOR not equipped with an autofocus motor: All functions supported except autofocus
Type D PC NIKKOR: All functions supported except some shooting modes
I'm still learning so polite and simple answers please.
I use a site called http://lenshero.com/. They have every camera made and every lens you can think of including off brands. They work in conjunction with B & H, and Amazon to find what you need. All you do is enter your brand of SLR then select what kind of lens your looking for (Micro/Macro, Telephoto, Tilt, Portrait, Wide angle). If your on a budget or looking for key features you can also enter that as well. This site has helped me select the right lens for my SLR. Before this site I didn't know that some Nikon lens will not auto focus with my Nikon camera, go figure, so I'm grateful for whoever put together this site… Check my photos out on tumblr @ thephotolist.tumblr.com
Ok, that is the lens you currently have, what is the one you are looking at acquiring?
If it is an AF-s lens it will work.
If it is a lens that is just AF it will not have auto focus.
If you tell us which lens it is, we could just tell you what will or won't work.
