Nikon D70 I know it's older but need to know people's opinions of it?
What lens would be good with it don't have that much money to spend help!
The D70 was one of the cameras many pros used as a backup cameras to their Nikon D200 or D300.
It is perfectly capable of shooting professional quality images, although you, the photographer has to know how to use the camera to produce those images
The standard 18-55 mm lens is a good starting point. It can shoot landscapes, groups, full body and head and shoulder portraits.
Spend time learning how to use the camera's light meter, how to light your subjects and spend time on this website learning how to compose you shots.

The D70 and D70S cameras are probably one of the forgotten gems on the second hand market. If you really want to play with photography, it's the camera to get. So it doesn't have crazy megapixels of a D3200, but it makes up for it in so many other ways. The D70/S has a built in focus motor, meaning you have full function on AF lenses (not only AF-S/AF-I lenses), you get AWL function which means you can use Nikon Speedlights as slaves without triggers or a command unit, there's a very simple addition of a front control wheel which makes operation a little faster, and nice top down LCD which will reduce battery consumption. With all honesty, in your price bracket, the ONLY camera I'd consider is the D70S.
Now onto lenses, I don't see much wrong with an AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm f3.5-5.6 VR if that is in budget, also the AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f1.8G is a really nice choice if you want to really explore creative photography.
Nikon AF DX 18-55 F3.5-4.5 lens is three times zoom lens. It is my personal opinion, less than three times zoom lens, the image quality is guaranteed. More than three times is not easy to say, more than five times the recommended not to consider.
AF 50MM F1.8 D lens Nikon lens produced the highest image quality of a head. Sweden Scores 4.4, AF 85 D1.4 IF, with the same score. Imaging is far above other zoom head. Press on the D70, just a standard portrait lens.

My first DSLR was a D70, and my youngest son still uses it. While it is dated by today's standards, it still is good enough for you to learn advanced techniques. Cut your teeth on this camera, then go for a newer one when the time is right.
The original "kit" lens for this camera was a Nikon AF-S 16-85mm f/3.5~5.6, which was actually a pretty good lens.
However, the least expensive lens will be a nikon AF-S 18-55mm f/3.5~5.6, which is about $120 new, or under $100 refurbished.
I got my 1st DSLR in 2005 and it was D70. Upgraded to D300 in 2008, but still use D70. I keep it as a back up camera.
