M50? Are you possibly talking about a N-50?

While the lens will fit on your D60, it will not auto-focus. Only AF-S lenses can auto-focus on entry level dSLR Nikon cameras.

You can use it, by focusing using the electronic rangefinder in the viewfinder and the light meter will give you accurate readings.
