Does speedlight nikon sb 600 supports ittl mode on nikon d3100?

Does sb 600 supports ittl mode on nikon d3100. Or can i just use the speedlight on manuall flash mode?
How do i set the mode on the speedlight?

Your camera supports use of this flash in TTL mode. I believe iTTL is only available with AWL/CLS compatible cameras (which the D3100 isn't).

You need to use it on camera, or use a Nikon TTL compatible sync cord if you want to use TTL off camera.
