Has anyone used a Nikkor 50mm 1.8G lens with a Nikon d3100?

I want to know how well this works as well as quality of the photo…

I haven't used this combo, but you will be happy with it as long as you understand the advantage and purpose of having a fast prime lens. The 1.4 has better quality, but the 1.8 is the best value on the market for money. You can find image samples on Flickr if you want.

Well it's made for Nikon DSLRs and yours is one of the most popular. So around a few million photographers use it.
The quality of the lens is superb, and its large aperture is great for low light photography, portraits and everything else.
