Has anyone used digitalrev.com?
Hi I'm looking for the best price on a Nikon D3100 and came across the site digitalrev.com it all looks legit but when I called them with a query there was a dodgy message very distorted music then a bloke answered and there was no background noise which you always get from a contact centre! I might be just be paranoid after nearly loosing £370 to scam site dilones.com so beware of them
Digital Rev is based in Hong Kong. And I've sucessfully bought various small bit's and pieces from them. The crunch is that if you were to buy a camera from they you would probably have to pay the import duty, by which time it would probably be cheaper (and you'd be better covered) to buy locally.
I just stick to watching DigitalRevTV on YouTube. Those guys are hilarious…
As Crim says you will undoubtedly be stung for the import duty on the item and there won't be a lot to choose between the prices. Added to which it's easier to get it fixed, should the worst happen, if you buy it here.
I have bought stuff from there.
They are ok. Just remember that you may have to pay import duty on anything you buy from Hong Kong, upon collection.
Make sure the price you pay is significantly cheaper than you can get at home to make it worth buying.
