i was just wondering what you guys thought of the pictures, and if you have any tips/ideas?

i use a nikon d5000 with the standard kit lens that came with it. I'm planning on upgrading to a higher quality lens soon.

Added (1).. I get my watermark by adding text in my editing program, then fading it out.

I think they look awesome! I especially like the ones where they are blurry in some areas and a sharper focus in others! I think you could do some that are off centered a little more.those always look awesome!

They are cute in general. Technically they need some refining. Some are not in focus (and I'm not talking about the selective focus stuff.) There are a few exposure difficulties here and there, and some cluttered backgrounds. Attention to detail is important in portraiture, things like trees growing from heads, or fuzz sticking to a baby's foot. You cut a lot of faces and heads in half, which can make an interesting shot occasionally. I'm not sure it makes a great style when used a lot. I'd rather see the child's entire face including the forehead especially. I'm sure the parents love them. Continue to learn and advance. Some books or DVDs on available light portraiture should be in your future.

I really like these you take something simple but make it seem so complex. I love these! Great job and keep at what you do!
