Feedback on Nikon 24mm f/2.8D lens in D7000 camera?
Feedback on Nikon 24mm f/2.8D lens in D7000 camera?
It is a moderately wide angle lens when used with the D7000 (1.5x 24 = 36) so if you are shooting architecture or interiors, it is NOT the lens for you.
ANY AF, AF-I or AF-S lens will work fine on your D7000, but since you have not delineated the proposed use for this lens, it is difficult to answer your question.
The most effective prime wide angle lens would be the Nikkor 14 mm when used on the D7000
It's a great lens to have on your camera. A 35mm equivalent like this is a great "street photographer" or photo journalist lens, but it has a lot of other uses. It's wide enough to get a group of people but can also be used for landscapes. Personally, I love fast 35s for indoor, dimly lit shots -- think parties, family get togethers, or even wedding receptions.
