Dslr camera repair.how?

I've purchased the nikon d5000 about a year ago. 3 months later it wouldn't turn on. The battery says its completely charged but it won't turn on at all. I have no clue what happened to it. The one year warranty is about to expire and I have no receipt or proof of purchase. I tried going to sears where I got it from but since I payed in cash they couldn't give me a copy of the receipt. I can't send it to the company without proof of purchase either. I have already tried emailing them and am waiting on a response. Could you please help me out and let me know how I could get my camera fixed or what I can do?

Your best bet is send it to Nikon… It's going to cost you but it's worth it for this camera.

Box it up and send it to Nikon, they will give you an estimate before they repair it.

I used the email with Service and Support and was very disappointed in it. Look through the FAQ's and then send it in.
