Dose the Nikon D3100 support direct video input?
Guest
I wanted to record some console gaming on my TV for my youtube but I don't know if my Nikon camera supports this particular method of filming. I was wondering if anyone knows if it does?

NO
The video feature on dSLR cameras are based upon an optical (lens)/sensor/memory card process. It the image is not on the sensor, the camera will not record the image
You will have to look for a different device to do what you want.

Cameras don't work that way at all. They record video through the lens not electronically. You'll need something else.
