I'm a amateur photographer and I'm moving on to DSLR, I was thinking about the D3100 but my budget is not the big, so I'm thinking about the D3000. On their website I couldnt find any information about the video quality, I'm wondering if D3000 can even film or not. Is it HD or 720P etc?

I have a Nikon D5000 That has HD video playback however be warned on all DLRS the video microphone is pretty rough, well its not the best, but if your after something subtle it will do, just not profesional video voice recording anyway, but HD filming on DSLR is brilliant. You get beautifl results due to lenses and cameras effects and settings, much better than most cam corder to be honest.
and the Nikon D5000 DSLR films in 720p, it should be cheaper in price I bought mine last year. There's a cannon that does slightly above 1020p but that will set you back almost double the price of the nikon.
