What the replacement for the Nikon D90 will be?

I keep hearing rumors that there's a new entry level camera that will basically replace the D90. What will it be called and when will it be released? Any ideas on how it will differ from the currant D90?

The new entry level camera replaces the D3000 and in many way outshines the D5000.

It is the Nikon D3100.

The replacement for the D90 is NOT an entry level camera, but on the same plane of the D90, an advanced amateur camera.

It is supposed to be called the D7000 and it will have many of the features of the D3100, but in a more robust and environmentally resistant body similar to the D90's.

Look for its introduction some time around the opening of Photokina 2010 later this month (September 21)

I'm so tired of seeing this question!

If it is that important that a person knows the replacement of an existing model, and will be interested in purchasing the new model over the old. I don't see that happening. Every day you wait all technology is passing you by, that includes when a new model is released. Once the new model is released a newer model is in the development. As long as the camera meets your needs for today and some time to come then buy now.
