Is Nikon D7000 is actualy replacement of Nikon D90?
I'm surprized that D7000 is the replacement of Nikon D90… Nikon D7000 is the almost twize the D90 price… So is there any upcoming Dslr which is actully the replacement of Nikon D90?
I'm waiting for that… If any upcoming?
It is the direct replacement, and it is more because of the magnesium body.
The D90 used to cost that much as well when it was new.
Nikon apparently will continue to produce the D90 though, so it is not really a replacement but rather a new product that is placed between the D90 and the D300s.
The D7000 is a bit more than a mere D90 replacement. It clearly is positioned very close to the D300s.
Don't forget that the introduction price for the D90 was also something like $1000 body only.
At the moment it's a very attractive camera, even though it is two years out it's not really outdated and it is now at a pricepoint where it's an interesting alternative to the D5000 or Canon 550d.
I have no indications that there's anything else to be expected from Nikon this year. Next up is a D700 successor I think and that will be spring at the earliest 2012 is an olympic year so expect a D4 in early spring. Between now and 2012 the only jokers will be the D5000 niche and a possible evil offering.
Agree with the one above… It is far more expensive…
At the present the D7000 is only $300 more then the D90 not even close to twice the price. Yes I believe it is the replacement for the D90.
D7000 is $1, 199.95 for body at B&H and the D90 is $899.95 at B&H.
