Does a nikon d40x have full wide angle mood?

If it does where is it on the camera?

No, DSLRs do not have any such modes - that's a matter of the lens, not of the camera. If you want a extreme wide angle shot or even a fisheye one, then you need a lens with a minimum focal length of typically 10-12mm

There's no such thing as a "… Full wide angle mode… " on your D40x or any other DSLR. The angle of view you'll get is totally dependent on the lens used. The Nikon 10.5mm lens on your D40x would give you a wide angle of view. You could also use the Pro Optic 8mm f3.5 in Nikon mount on your camera.http://www.adorama.com/PRO835NK.html - and save about $400.00 over the cost of the Nikon 10.5mm.
