Charge Nikon D3200 Batteries without taking them out?
I'm trying to make a Camera rig that charges all accessories at once with one plug-in. II have a battery grip and was wondering if there's any way to charge my batteries without taking them out and putting them in a charger. Is that even possible? Thanks!
P.S I do NOT want A/C batteries, they need to still be able to charge and hold power.
Can't charge in-camera.
No way, Jose. There's no charging port on the camera, and therefore no way to charge the batteries in-camera.
Rechargeable batteries create heat when being charged, so using an external battery charger is a way to allow the battery to keep cooler as it charges.
Your battery charger is also "smart". It monitors how fast the battery charges (and heating) and drops back to a trickle charge to keep from overheating the battery. That charger also shuts off automatically one the battery is fully charged so that there's no change of overcharging.
Both overheating and overcharging can damage rechargeable batteries.
If you need continuous power for your camera, Nikon makes 2 AC adapters for your camera
Remember, you asked for it!
