Can i zoom in on a slr camera without a lens?

I want to buy a Nikon D3100 without a lens but is it possible to zoom in without it?

You can't use a camera without a lens, all cameras have to have lenses to function. SLR's are just interchangable ones and the lens is what zooms on a SLR camera, whereas with a point and shoot camera (ones that have the lens built-in) you have to zoom on the camera.

The lens is the part that zooming in. You can't take photo without a lens.

No. The lens is what zooms in and out, not the camera.

You can't use a camera without a lens. If you don't understand something that incredibly basic, don't buy a DSLR.

I gave all of the previous answerers a vote, but Hondo said it best.
