Can I use high speed batteries for Vivitar 3200A flash? - 1
Added (1). I have Nikon D80 camera. I use Vivitar 3200A flash for it. Can I use high speed batteries (~2500mAh) for its better performance?

Getting better batteries means that they will last longer, and it will be longer before they start slowing down the flash recharge time.

The higher the mAh number means that they batteries will last for a longer time. While the batteries won't decrease your recycling time, using a battery with a higher mAh number means that your recycling times will be at their fastest for a longer period of time.
If you need faster recycling times, the getting a battery pack like the Quantum Turbo will reduce your recycling times down to about 2 seconds after a full-power burst. However, you need a flash that can accept external battery packs which your Vivitar 3200A can't. There are cheap alternatives that can, though. Here's a few that have 2-3 second recycling times WITHOUT the need for an external battery pack --http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=TTL+System_Nikon&sts=ma&ci=647&N=3857973351+4294204366+4062787800&Ntt=Yongnuo
