Can I use D50 Kit lens in my D5100 Body?

I have a Nikon D50 camera. I want to upgrade it to Nikon D5100. Can i use the same D50 lens for the D5100 also or i have to purchase D5100 wit the lens?
Also need the specs of the lens

Added (1). I'm currrently using the Stock D50 Kit Lens.
And Can you please help in upgrading?

The Nikon D5100 body uses all the Nikkor AF-S lenses with full auto-focus

Any of the older Nikkor AF lenses will require you to use the electronic rangefinder in the cameras viewfinder and manually focus your shots

As you can see, it depends upon which lens you have been using on your D50

As far as I recall, the D50 came with either the 18-70 or the 18-55 lens. They are both AF-S lenses, so they are 100% compatible with the D5100. The 18-70 is a better lens.
