Can i improve on the video quality on the nikon d7000?
I recently got the nikon d7000 and i noticed that the imagine quality is sharp and clear but the video quality isn't up to par as the image. When I go to the control panel, there are many options for the movie quality but I don't now what to do with it. Also what is the difference between RAW and JPEG?
Personally, I believe in using a camera for still photos and a camcorder for video. Using the correct tool always gives best results.
What is the diff between RAW and jpg? Very easy to find out: https://www.google.com.au/...e&ie=UTF-8
Video quality is based upon a number of things.
* The resolution (Full HD or HD)
* The use of low ISO settings (200 or 400). This means you will need to take your cameras ISO out of auto
* Providing enough light for the scenes you are shooting (in low light, you need to add a lot of light that emulates the lighting using 500 watt and 250 watt lamps
RAW images provide the highest resolution. Those image files contain the most information. They are unprocessed and when you process them using a program like Adobe Lightroom, you can export them as JPEG (compressed images) files.
NOTE: Do you have any formal education in shooting video? That would be a big help if you want to understand how to set up your video shots so that they are the best you can make them
Here is a video shot using a D7000
If you set up your scenes correctly, use good lighting, your video should look just as good.
Yes.
You can reshoot using better light qualities.
