Can I get an adapter for a 1:45-5.8 MC Macro lens to fit a Nikon D40?
Can I get an adapter for a 1:45-5.8 MC Macro lens to fit a Nikon D40?
Added (1). Sorry I'm new to dslr cameras, it is a cosina 70-300 MM
The name of that lens is incomplete, this merely appears to be a part of the aperture specification (f/4.5-5.8). The brand name, focal length range and mount type is missing. Without that information you can't be given any good advice. Well… At least the brand name would be helpful and the mount type would basically answer the question - it has to be Nikon F.
It's highly unlikely that an adapter would be worth the hassle though, as these come with serious drawbacks, if there's one at all.
Definitely not. That is not until you tell us what mount that lens comes with. Who knows? You may not need an adapter at all.
… And it's 1:4.5-5.8. My guess is it's a zoom lens, 80-200mm or something like that with multi-coated optics from the film era.
