Can I get a lens adapter kit for my Nikon L830? Macro shots?
I know they sell them, but I have read multiple things about it and some people are saying that you can't attach lens to it even with an adapter… So then my question is what would be the best camera to use for macro shots? The L830 has a 34 point optical zoom and I'm looking for more than that for less that $400. Does it exist?

The macro setting on your L830 gets you the most magnification when you are zoomed to the wider angle settings. Of course your working distance will be VERY short. Too short for the on-camera flash to help you freeze camera shake. A decent tripod with a reversible column could help you make this macro feature useful. Off course yes No.
The best right now would be a dSLR with a macro lens. Ten thousand focus points won't save you in macro. You will need to work in manual focus mode.
