Buying a Nikon D3000?

I want to buy a nikon d3000, but its a lot of money and i'm not too serious about photography. I've looked around for other cheaper cameras, but i'm settled on this one. Is there anyway i could get it cheap, like on ebay or amazon without it being a scam? I really don't want to waste my money!

Nikon's don't come cheap. If it is, there's a bad reason for it. It could be grey market, which means something maybe missing in the box, or no warranty. Always buy from a real store. You won't have a problem from places like Best Buy, Walmart or amazon. I don't like ebay myself.
