Best macro lens for a 52mm nikon d3000 for cheap?
I'm looking for a cheap macro lens for my 52mm nikon d3000, nothing over 100$ (if possible) leave links please i'd really appreciate it.
A macro lens goes straight to the body. You'll have to take off that 52mm (?) that's mounted on your camera. The macro lens is the best way to take a macro shot but it is the most expensive option.
The cheapest way is to get a set of close-up filters (52mm filter size?) that you can attach to the front of your existing (kit?) lens. You will be able to get very near pictures of your subject but the quality will be really low.
Another option is to mount your lens in reverse requiring a reverse mount adapter. The front part of your lens will go to the body. You will have to use the lens in full manual mode with this option but your pictures will be great if you know exactly what you're doing. The ring is relatively cheap, may even be cheaper than the closeup filters.
One other option is to use extension rings. They usually come in a set of three rings at different lengths that push your lens further away from the camera making focusing at very close distances possible. Since you will be using your lens, image quality is great but depending on the compatibility of the extension rings you get, you may or may not have automatic features present. The set may be quite expensive, might cost like another lens itself, especially if it allows AF and auto modes.
The last option is to use a bellows. It's essentially like the extension rings only with more length options for critical focusing situations and exact reproduction ratios. You will be forced to use manual in everything as I haven't yet seen an automatic bellows. They are usually old so you can have them cheap. Just make sure the bellows itself (the accordion like part) is light tight.
Search eBay.com and bhphotovideo.com for whatever option you want to go to.
