Anyone have experience with a Nikkor AF-S 50 mm f/1.4 lens?

I have a Nikon D60 with a standard 18-55mm kit lens and a 55-200mm lens. Looking for something faster, to shoot kids in low light, casual family gatherings and some senior portrait work. I've done a lot of research and this seems to be the one for me. Just wondering if you have it, are you happy with it? It's a pricey piece of glass.

YES!
And it is an awe-some piece of glass!

Yes. It is a great lens for the money. Keep in mind that with you APS-C sensor, that the lens will act like an 80mm on your camera.

I have the 50mm f/1.4-D lens, which is the precursor to the AF-S lens. It is a great lens and the AF-S is supposed to be better. For one thing, if has "better" coating and for another, it has 9 aperture blades instead of 7, so it will be smoother in making those bokeh circles.
