Looking for consumer DSLR camera w/ swivel flip screen. Any suggestions?

I'm planning to buy a body of a DSLR camera with a swivel screen (like a Nikon D5100) then a separate lens. I might save money doing so.

Won't save much money unless you know exactly what lens you want. If you are just starting you may not know what focal lengths suit you best. Stick with the 18-55mm lens for now and expand upon that.

Well you've got a D5100 and Canon EOS T3i. You might save some money if you'll go with something other than the 18-55mm, but the kit lens is great to start with!
