Cheap Quality Cameras?
I'm looking for a cheap, high quality Nikon or Canon camera, that ranges anywhere between $200-$500. Any suggestions?
Canon T3 is a good buy

or the Nikon D3100

both fit your budget
If you can only see Canon and Nikon, you shouldn't be allowed within 50 feet of a camera.
Your budget will cover bridge models - Fujifilm and Panasonic, but don't buy anything without a viewfinder. Nikon's L-series are junk and their P-series over-priced. Canon's SX are unremarkable, and their G-series stupidly expensive.
EVIL - Sony, Olympus or Panasonic. Canon have withdrawn their EOS-M, and Nikon's 1-series are hampered by a small sensor.
Entry-level DSLR; Sony A-58 (better video), Pentax K-500 (100% Pentaprism (better) viewfinder and the ability to meter with manual focus lenses). Nikon's D3xxx and Canon's Rebels aren't bad, but they're no better than their competition.
Work out what you want to photograph, and which category would be right for you, then take off your blinkers, visit a dealer, and handle a couple of likely candidates.
There's no such thing in cameras or anything that's madeā¦ There's no cheap quality, it doesn't exist.
In cameras good quality starts at about $600. Great quality starts at about $4,000 and they both go up from there. If you're serious about quality you need more money.
