Change Canon rebel for Fujifilm X100?

So I like the Canon and I didn't buy any lenses for it yet. I use old medium format lenses which are very hard to use but I don't know wheather to buy some lenses or which to the Fuji. The Fuji may suit me better because its small and quiet. I feel like it will be with me more often than the Canon and its way less intrusive. Also with the Canon I'm having such a hard time finding a lens that I like. I like wide, fast and sharp which Canon doesn't sell an affordable variation and the Fuji is just that. What do you think? Even with Nikon I could point out the first lenses I would get. I'm very hesitent to get invested in Canon equiptment eventhough its such a pain to sell it.

Added (1). I always feel like the rebels always going to break. Its very plasticy.

If you are interested in the X100, I would suggest you take a look at the Fujifilm X-Pro 1

Canon entry level series has always felt like it was made by mattel and would break easily. Despite that there's millions of happy users out there so they must be doing something right.

The X100 is quite the opposite, it's a fixed lens camera built like a tank. There's something very likeable about it and it's capable of producing very fine shots but you'd sacrifice versatility

It depends entirely on what you will be using it for. If you are serious about photography at all stay with a DSLR and look into 3rd party lenses like those made by Tokina, Sigma, Tamron, or Rokinon. If this is just for fun casually and you want something small that will last you a while, go with the fuji.

Why change?

what do you expect the Fuji to give you that the Nikon can't…

You do realise the X100 has a fixed 23mm F2 lens (field of view equivalent to a 35mm lens on full frame)?

That means you can't change the lens, or zoom in on anything - at least not without walking closer to the subject.

By the way, canon lenses are not your only option. Have you checked out any third party lenses?
