Can you add a macro filter to a macro lens?

I'm new to filters and am trying to determine what to get for my macro lens and everyday lens. If I added a +10 macro filter to a Nikon 40mm Micro close-up lens, would that give me a vignette? What about stacking a polarized filter on top of that?

If you already have a macro lens, you don't need to add a macro filter. It will ruin the quality of the image - those close-up filters are terrible.

A polarised filter is a useful addition for landscape photography but it's not an everyday filter and it's very unlikely you'll need one for macro.

Yes, if you wish to photograph electrons, I mean you'll get really close-ups; very thick ones can cause vigneting, but not usually if fit on a macro lens, but your light reading will be reduced
