Can't decide between these cameras. NIKON vs CANON?
Here are the three cameras I'm interested in:
#1 - http://www.target.com/...-14515539#
#2 - http://www.target.com/...edium_1_39
#3 - http://www.target.com/...edium_1_47
I like #1 because it seems to be a great camera AND it comes in a bundle including a case and memory card (the camera is $169.99 alone). But I have never used Nikon & I'm worried that picture quality will not measure up to the Canon brand.
And I just do not know how I would decide between #2 & #3. They are both the ELF models of the Canon but #3 is "ELF 130" and #2 "ELF 115 HS".So #3 is the newer model?
And how much better is choice #3? (Assuming it is better by the $10 increase in price).
I do know that camera comes with Wi-Fi… But is that the only major difference?
Please help me pick and let me know any helpful info I should know when choosing a good point & shoot camera. Any links or personal use of these cameras will also be helpful for comparison.
Thanks! ♥
will chose best answer(:
Added (1). I do know that a dslr camera will of course beat my choices, but I'm looking for a point and shoot to carry around for pictures with friends and everyday things; I already have access to a dslr camera. My original price point was around $150, so if anyone wanted to give other recommendations please keep this info in mind.
As a photographer, i own all of the cameras that you are considering. It all depends on what you want from a camera, if you want the highest mega pixels, then go for the nikon if you want Wi-Fi, panorama ext, then go for the canon. Yes number 3's only difference is its Wi-Fi and better auto focus.
I prefer nikon cameras over cannon purely due to the picture quality. I would recommend the nikon.
115 and #130 are both current models, #130 is just a step up from #115. #130 also has a bigger LCD screen.
Canon powershots get the best ratings, so I would go with one of those.
If you can afford it, I would suggest getting a used good condition entry level dslr on ebay (approx $300). The picture quality is a huge step up from the point and shoots, and the lenses you will be able to use for a very long time with new dslrs that you get later on (make sure you know the differences between EF and EF-S). I just got my first dslr last year, and my biggest regret is that I didn't get it earlier.
I love this Nikon 1 J1 camera and it is only one of many that I own. I love that it is compact and has lenses that are changeable. It takes great crisp pictures and is point-and-shoot. All you have to worry about is composition!
Close your eyes & grab one, it's not going to matter. You won't be able to tell the difference from a photo taken with any of these. They're simple point & shoot cameras.
