Can nikon d5200/d5300 shoot raw video?
I was just wondering if it can shoot videos in raw format, Like some pro video cameras. It says so on wikipedia but i don't really trust wikipedia on these matters.
At the present time, only the top of the line (professional level) Nikon cameras can shoot in RAW video (10-bit 4.2.2). They are the Nikon D800, D4 and D4s
The link to Wikipedia shows cameras that shoot stills in RAW. Nothing in the piece mentions RAW video.
RAW video, at least when shooting it with a Nikon product, requires an HDMI recording device be connected to the camera. This little accessory can cost an additional $400 for the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle, the current cost of the size SSD drive you will be using and some power connectors.
